About Desiree Albano, D.O
Dr. Desiree Albano is originally from northern California but grew up all over as her father was in the Air Force for 20 years. She earned her medical degree in Kansas City, Missouri and completed her residency in Lansing at UM Health Sparrow. Dr. Albano joined the Alliance team in the Fall of 2026.
Dr. Albano practices all aspects of obstetrics and gynecology. She enjoys caring for women in their teenage years with counseling on contraception and maintaining those relationships through the rest of their lives to menopause and beyond. Areas of special interest include gynecologic robotic surgery (minimally invasive) in addition to vaginal hysterectomies. She is extremely passionate about preventative health and counseling women on routine cancer screening. She also enjoys delivering babies and feels honored to be a part of such a special day.
Outside of work, Dr. Albano enjoys spending her time traveling, hiking, and being outdoors.
