About Lori Billis, MD
Dr. Lori Billis completed her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University before earning her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She remained in Detroit to complete her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Detroit Medical Center’s Hutzel Women’s Hospital.
Following residency, Dr. Billis joined a private practice in the suburbs before returning to the Detroit Medical Center as a member of the academic faculty. Combining a busy women’s health practice with resident education allowed her to pursue her passion for both patient care and physician mentorship.
After several years in clinical practice, Dr. Billis served as a Medical Director for a health plan, gaining valuable experience in healthcare leadership and quality improvement. Recognizing that her greatest passion is partnering with women throughout their healthcare journey, she returned to private practice to focus on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Her clinical interests include routine and high-risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, and comprehensive women’s healthcare with a special focus on perimenopause and menopause management.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Billis enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on her son during basketball and baseball season.
